As a blogger I'm forever reading other people's blogs. I've recently realised that I'm reading a few people's blogs religiously so I thought that I would share those bloggers with you today. Hey, maybe we'll find out that we're loving similar bloggers at the moment or maybe I'll give you some recommendations of new bloggers to check out. I'm not going to go into detail as to why I'm loving them but I'm just going to give you their blog links and then maybe you can check them out because I think they're all pretty awesome girls. Also, these aren't in any particular order.
Let's get into it.

The Liebster Award | Third Time's A Charm

If you couldn't guess already from the title of this blog post I've been nominated for yet another Liebster Award. This time it's from the lovely Lucy from Lucy Likes Pineapple, here's the link to her blog. Thank you Lucy for nominating me.

I know that you've probably read the rules of the Liebster Award about 50,000 times but I'll run through them again for you:

1. Thank the person that nominated you and leave a link to their blog.
2. Answer the 11 questions set by the person that nominated you.

3. Nominate 5-11 small blogs that you love to read, they must have under 200 followers (e.g. on Bloglovin' ) and then link their blog.
4. Set 11 questions for your nominees to answer.
5. Let the nominees know that they've been nominated for the award. (via comments or social media)

1. What made you start a blog?
I answered this in my last Liebster Award blog post so here's the answer that I gave:
I think I started my blog because I wanted to give back and become part of such a great community. The blogging community at the minute especially the smaller blogging community. I've made some great blogger friends over the months that I've been blogging. If you're thinking of starting a blog or are scared to reach out to other bloggers, do it! Take a deep breath and write a blog post or write an email to your favourite blogger for tips or to say how good their blog is.

2. What is your favourite film?
Remember The Titans. Hands down. Want to know what it's about? Here's the synopsis:
In Virginia, high school football is a way of life, an institution revered, each game celebrated more lavishly than Christmas, each playoff distinguished more grandly than any national holiday. And with such recognition, comes powerful emotions. In 1971 high school football was everything to the people of Alexandria. But when the local school board was forced to integrate an all black school with an all white school, the very foundation of football's great tradition was put to the test.
I have a real thing about American football so this film is the perfect for me. Give it a watch if you want to see what my favourite film is.

3. If you could live on one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Spaghetti Bolognese but my mum's spaghetti bolognese. It's just a real comfort food that I could probably eat anytime of the day if I was given the option. Even though it's not proper Italian food I do love Italian food so it's kind of the same. As I type this I now want a bowl of spaghetti bolognese.

4. Where is your favourite place on earth?
Ireland. As a young child I used to visit Ireland quite a lot to visit family but as I've grown up I haven't visited as much as I'd like to. But whenever I'm feeling stressed I close my eyes and take myself to Ireland so if I'm stressed before an exam or everything is getting too much I close my eyes and see Ireland, it calms me down.

5. What is the thing you love most about yourself?
I answered this in my first Liebster Award so I'll give you the same answer:
I really love my eyes because whenever I take pictures and whether they have a filter on them or not they always look really blue which I love and I think they really match my dark hair.

6. If there was only one thing that you could change in the world, what would it be?
Hmmm...the way girls are treated both in this country and other countries. I'm sure you've all seen the advert with the way that girls are treated; taken out of education, forced to marry men twice their age and forced to become pregnant leading to miscarriages and many other issues. Women and girls are discriminated for simply being girls and I think it's awful. Just plain awful.

7. What is your biggest fear?
This was the answer that I gave in my last Liebster award:
I'm scared of dying alone and not doing something for the world. I want to be surrounded by or at least know that there are people I love and people who love me. Also, I want to be able to say that I've done something in the world whether that be write a novel that changes the way people think whether that only be my family will or whether that's hundreds of thousands of people. Or I want to be able to say I helped starving children in Africa get better, go to school, get an education and become a doctor.

8. What are your favourite TV programmes at the moment?
Ooo this is a good question. At the moment I'm really loving I Am Jazz, The Great British Bake Off (obviously), Big Blue LIVE, Chicago Fire, Say Yes To The Dress and about fifty other t.v. programmes that I can't think of.

9. Who is the person you trust the most?
My mum or my mum's best friend. I know it sounds stupid but I can trust my mum with almost everything. Obviously there are things I don't share with people because I deal with them myself. I trust my mum's best friend as well because I can talk to her truthfully about any situation at all so she's kind of like a second mum to me in a way.

10. If you could switch bodies with one celebrity, who would it be?
This is a hard one. Can I do a male and then a female celebrity? That's what I'm going to do. Male celebrity wise John Green because he's like awesome and I'd love to just live a crazy day in his life; writing, hanging out with people like Ansel Elgort, Shailene Woodley and Nat Wolff. Female celebrity wise Taylor Swift because she's amazing. Also, I'd love to just randomly be able to burst into one of my songs and have it acceptable.

11. What is your ideal day?
Sitting in the living with my mum or a friend, eating junk food like pizza and ice cream, watching films continuously. I like laid back days. Or maybe a rainy day in bed with a book and endless amounts of tea and cake. Perfection in a few sentences there ladies and gentlemen.

Who am I nominating you might ask? Well I've decided to nominate:

Now onto my questions for all the girlies that I've nominated.
1. What's something that a lot of people don't know about you?
2. If you were trapped on a desert and could only bring 3 items what would they be?
3. If your life was turned into a movie, who would you want to play yourself?
4. Who are a few of your idols?
5. What's your favourite season?
6. Who is your favourite YouTuber and why?
7. What's one of your favourite blog posts that you've written?
8. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
9. Who's your favourite blogger at the minute?
10. What's your favourite item of clothing that you own?
11. Where would you like to be 5 years from now?

So there's my third Liebster Award, thank you to Lucy again for nominating me for it again.

Tea Talk #6 | Mistakes Don't Define You

Tea talk is back and today I'm going to be discussing mistakes. Now I'm not going to lie I've made a lot of mistakes in my short life and I'm most likely going to make a lot more in my future. You've made mistakes. Your parents have made mistakes. Everyone's made mistakes. But the secret is mistakes DON'T define you or me or anyone and that's what I want to discuss today.

Expectations can be both a wonderful and awful thing. Expectations are something than can sometimes lead to mistakes. We try so hard to match or exceed the expectations put upon us that sometimes we fail and make mistakes whether it be in school work or everyday tasks. We can't always do as people want us to because at the end of the day we're human, not superhuman. We're not superheros who can do everything to make the world we live in perfect we just do what we can and sometimes that isn't our best.

So what if you forget your homework at school? What's the worst that is going to happen? Sure you might get a detention but you live and you learn. It's not like not handing in that homework means that you aren't going to be able to pass your GCSE's and A Levels which means you won't be able to get into university. It might be a mistake but it doesn't define you at all because you can just hand in the homework the next day and the mistake is fixed. Simple.

Whether people forgive your mistakes or not is another story. Most people are very forgiving of mistakes however there's a handful of people, a few of whom I have met, who aren't quite as forgiving. These can be teachers, family members, strangers and even friends. If they're people who won't forgive you for silly mistakes that they've probably made as well do you know what I say? They probably aren't worth your time so cut them lose.

So don't put yourself down about mistakes everyone makes because they're common mistakes at the end of the day that we can put right all the time.

Updated Skincare Routine

If you've been here since the start of my blogging days you'll know that one of my first blog posts was a skincare routine. Now I'm not going to link it for you because I think that the pictures in them weren't the best but if you desire to go find the blog post I give you full permission. Anyway getting back on track I figured out that my skincare routine has changed quite a bit so I thought that I would share with all you lovely people my updated skincare routine.

Earlier this year I went through a really bad stage with my skin and it still hasn't fully gone away, I think it was a face wash that didn't really react well with my skin, so I had to find skincare products that really helped my skin. I remembered that before I had the reaction with the face wash I used Simple Skincare products religiously so I had received some for Christmas but hadn't used them so I went back to basics.

We all here it. That cleansers are better for our skin than makeup wipes. You might be like I was with the excuse well you can never always believe what you hear on the internet but since I've started using a cleanser over makeup wipes I can definitely see the difference. When I use to use makeup wipes my face would feel dirty almost because all you're really doing with a makeup wipe is pushing makeup around your face whereas with the Simple Kind To Skin Purifying Cleansing Lotion you're actually removing the makeup and dirt on your face. I think that this cleanser is really good because my face feels really clean after I've used it even if I haven't worn makeup that day. I really recommend that you pick this cleanser up; it's affordable and is really light on your skin.

Finding a face wash for my skin is quite hard and I was quite worried to pick up a new face wash after the reaction my skin had had so I really read into a lot of face washes. Finally I found a face wash that I thought would really help which was the Garnier Pure Active Fruit Extract Gel Scrub. I really think that this helps my sin because it's got tiny little beads in it which help really cleaning my pores and the rest of my face. Also, because it has grapefruit and pomegranate extracts with Vitamin C it leaves my skin feeling really fresh and clean.

Now toner isn't something I use on a daily basis which is bad because I should. However, when I do decide to dust off my toner I use the Simple Kind To Skin Soothing Facial Toner. This toner is really great because I find that after using my cleanser and face wash then putting this on top of them two products it leaves my face feeling squeaky clean. I usually like to take this away with me on weekend trips or on holiday because after being on a long haul journey I feel that my skin feels clogged up and this works its magic and restore it to its former state.

When it comes to moisturiser I want something light that isn't going to make my face feel sticky so the Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser was a perfect product for me. The consistency of the moisturiser is creamy but very light at the same time. The only downside to this moisturiser is that it doesn't have SPF which is bad if you want to go outside without makeup on but it's never normally a problem because it's never really hot in England. For what this moisturiser is and what it does for my skin it's an amazing price and I definitely recommend you go and pick it up from your local highstreet shop.

What are your skincare staples? Let me know so I can have a good nosy at them.

Back To School Essentials | Collab w/Antonella

So it's that dreaded time where all of us start buying new uniforms or outfits to wear on the first day of school. I thought that today I'd start my back to school series off with a collab. Today I'm collabing with the lovely Antonella, you might remember her from this collab. What are we collabing about? Well we're both doing our back to school essentials so if you want to check out want Antonella's back to school essentials are check her blog out here.

Concealer

Okay so concealer is a must for me when I go to school especially the Collection Lasting Perfect Concealer. Everyone who has ever watched a beauty YouTube video or read a beauty blog post will have heard of this concealer. In my opinion it hides every bit of redness, every spot and every blemish on my face which is what I want when I go to school because it makes me feel confident. If you haven't tried this concealer try it out!

Translucent Powder

After being in P.E. or rushing round school finding something for a teacher it can leave my skin a bit shiny so I like to mattify my skin. This Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder is talked about anywhere and everywhere. It's definitely going to be staying in my school bag so I can just get it out whenever necessary.

Eyeliner
Now I love a good bit of black eyeliner in my waterline as much as the next girl but I find that after blinking a lot because the interactive whiteboard is making me go cross eyed that it disappears. So throughout this school year I'll be keeping this Avon ColourTrend Black Eyeliner with me. I love the pigmentation of this eyeliner it's just the staying power which isn't the greatest. If you have any recommendations of black eyeliners that have both great colour pigmentation and staying power let me know.

Lip Balm

I have a serious obsession with lip balm and keeping my lips lovely and moisturized. Now as part of my birthday present from a friend I received some of the Wilkinson's lip balms. At first I wasn't really too fussed in trying them out but when I did I was blown away. This particular lip balm not only smells and tastes delicious it also makes my lips feel so soft and smooth. I can apply this once or twice and it lasts all day.

Hair Bobbles & Bobby Pins

There's always that one person in the changing rooms or in lessons who wants to get their hair out of the way but never have anything to do it with. A piece of advice don't be that girl. Instead be the one who actually has a hair bobbles and bobby pins to offer. We all know that our hair bobbles and bobby pins go missing left, right and centre so instead of wondering where they've gotten to feel good the you helped someone in a hair emergency.

Paracetamol

Ever had a really bad headache in the middle of lessons? Has it been that time of the month and you've been too embarrassed or scared to go ask your first aider for some Paracetamol? What I normally do is just carry one of the sheets from a pack of Paracetamol around with me so if I am ever that desperate for some I can just quickly take some without all the fuss of having to call my parents and ask for permission. I mean seriously? What fifteen almost sixteen year old needs permission off of their parent for some Paracetamol?

Hand Sanitizer

I don't even want to think of half the things I accidentally put my hand in during school hours. I could actually probably feel physically sick thinking about it. Instead of wanting to go and wash your hands every five minutes carry round a small bottle of hand sanitizer that means not only you can have clean hands your friends can as well. You never know when you're going to need some hand sanitizer. Trust me.

Body Spray & Deodorant

I'll be the first to admit that after doing sport I'm not the freshest smelling person so instead of feeling not only dirty but maybe slightly smelling a bit just put a bottle of body spray or a can on deodorant in your bag so you can just use it to freshen up a bit. Before you do bring sprays in though make sure with your school that they're allowed otherwise you could make someone's asthma flare up which wouldn't be helpful. I'll be carrying around my standard Sure deodorant and an Impulse body spray with me. You don't have to bring both but sometimes it's nice to not only feel clean but also smell floral.

Mirror

Something in your eye? Want to make sure that your mascara hasn't run down your face after P.E.? A small compact mirror is absolutely perfect! I don't quite know where mine is from seeing as it was gifted to me but it is literally so cute. I love the glasses all over it. I kept this in my blazer pocket all last year and it was a life saver. I definitely recommend that you take a compact mirror to school because sometimes the girls bathrooms can be pretty crowded so you can never get near a mirror.

Mints & Chewing Gum

Chewing gum is most definitely not allowed in my school but there's always time to quickly have a piece after eating lunch or when you think your breath needs a bit of freshening. If you're really not allowed chewing gum in school maybe pick up a pack of hard mints so you just quickly freshen up your breath that way. Unless you decide to bring your toothbrush and toothpaste to school with you which I don't really recommend to you.

So there are some of my school essentials for this. What are yours? Also, don't forget to get out Antonella's blog post.

Tea Talk #5 | Quality Over Quantity

You're all probably thinking 'Chloe, what on Earth is this blog post about?' Well even though patience is a virtue I shall spill all my secrets. Today's Tea Talk is not about writing essays, my teachers always tell me it's quality over quantity, it is in fact about friendships. You might think I'm completely mental but just bare with me and you'll soon understand.

*
Okay, so when you're in primary school the whole class is your best friend, you invite everyone to your birthday party and you talk to everyone all the time. I've learnt that when you go up to high school the whole game changes; people split off into different groups, they become friends with other people and you don't hang out with everyone anymore. It's daunting almost, not knowing who you're going to keep as a friend, who you're going to make friends with and who's going to act as if you're completely invisible. It's odd to think that the people you were eating birthday cake with five minutes ago aren't going to be eating birthday cake with you anymore.

*
I'm not going to lie to you I was never the person with a million and one best friends, I didn't see the need for it. In primary school I had five people I would hang out with all the time but when we went up to high school some of us drifted away. I was still best friends with three of the girls and good friends with the other two girls but it didn't really phase me, I was happy with the three girls I was best friends with. Then everything changed; we got older and some of us have drifted away more than others but now that I think of it that doesn't really phase me either because I made a new friend that I don't think I could live without. I'm friends with people but I don't think I could tell them what I tell my best friends.

*

So there's my sob story of a friendship tale. I guess what I'm trying to tell you all is that you don't need a million and one best friends. The 'popular' people will have but eventually they'll all split apart but I'm happy with the best friends that I have. It doesn't really matter about how many friends you can count on your fingers it's about the qualities your friends posses. You don't want to be friends with someone who talks about you behind your back all the time, do you? Cut lose the friends you don't think would be there for you in your time of need but keep the ones who would be there with a pint of Ben & Jerry's and your favourite rom-com to cheer you up. Don't ignore the people you love just because you're trying to fit in because being your true self with your friends is a lot better than be miserable when trying to fit in.
